Hand painted canvas inspired by bus and tram destination blinds of yesteryear.
Antique white / ivory acrylic paint on matt black canvas, stretched on a wooden frame measuring approx. 24inches x 6inches x 1.5inches.

I paint graphic-based visual art, inspired by music, film and travel. I take classic record covers, film posters and transport art as a starting point, and hand-paint everything on canvas or wood. Commissions welcome!

I was commissioned to paint some replica bus blinds recently and I got hooked on painting more. This lead me to do some research about the history of graphic design used on public transport and public highways and I found it fascinating. I thought I could have a bit of fun with this when I realised that every possible destination, real or fantasy, could be depicted on a replica blind.
