Hand painted canvas inspired by late 60's / early 70's Decca record company 7" single sleeve.
Acrylic paint on canvas stretched on a hand-made wooden frame measuring approx. 71cm x 23cm x 4.5cm. This painting would make a great present for any music fan and lover of classic sounds and design.

I paint graphic-based visual art, inspired by music, film and travel. I take classic record covers, film posters and transport art as a starting point, and hand-paint everything on canvas or wood. Commissions welcome!

I've always been a massive music fan, and a love of record sleeve design goes hand in hand with this. I've always loved doing hand lettering (I also work as a sign painter and window graphics painter) so I decided to combine my two passions. I was looking through a box of old 45's and I had the sudden urge to re-interpret some of the classic design used on these record company sleeves.
