The front panel of this cushion is made from strips of lovely grey and blue tweed scraps.
The fabric used on the back is a grey, blue and white check tweed contrasting with the front panel.
The cushion measures approximately 30 cm x 30 cm and includes the cotton covered feather pad.
I live near Wigtown in Galloway, which is known as the Scottish Book Town and every year they have a Book Festival in September. I adapted a design from patchwork known as the bookshelf block. A straw poll decided not only did it look like books on a shelf, but it also looked like a "Cityscape". So that became the name of the design.
This is a smaller version of my "Cityscape" design, but still works well in showing the different tweeds used.
It's made in Border Tweed and I think these colours and tweeds so reflect the autumn landscape in Northern Scotland.
It's a modern design that will look good in any home.
