Large Starfish Necklace, cast in Reflections Sterling Silver

The starfish is cast in Reflections sterling silver, which has the highest silver content, and is very tarnish resistant. The texture of the starfish has cast really well. It is heavy as it is a solid cast, and quite large measuring 2.5cm by 2.5cm. The sterling silver snake chain measures 42cm and is stamped 925.

The necklace is packaged in a recycled brown card box with silver KK stamps on the lid.

Each piece I create is unique, due to the lost wax process I use to cast the items.

This starfish was cast up on the tideline on Town beach, St Mary's, Isles of Scilly. Once I was sure it really wasn't alive, I struggled to get it home, but the effort was worth it as I'd been searching for a suitable specimen for a while. The detail I achieved in the casting was really good, as it captured the texture of the starfish.
