This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
It is a teacup, or if you prefer, a coffee cup, standing on a saucer.
A design I made as a special gift for my friend who has a tearoom (Lady Foleys) on Great Malvern Station. It now hangs in the window there.
This one is made from bright aquamarine and purple glass and is decorated in the middle of the cup with glass nuggets in matching colours.
For the top of the cup I have used lovely white streaky glass which looks just like steam rising from a hot drink.
The teacup is 5 inches wide by 4 inches and hangs from a little silvery chain which is securely soldered to either side of the cup.
It looks super hanging in the window where it catches the light and would make a lovely and very unique present.
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass for each piece even when making the same pattern.
I have included a 5th picture of a previous version of the cup in blue and purple shades so you can see it in another colour scheme. Please ask if you prefer different colours.
This was designed as a birthday present for a friend who has a tearoom on a station. Visit Lady Foley's Tearoom at Malvern Station and you may see it hanging in the window there.
It's equally good for coffee as tea and caffeine and calorie free.
