Item details

These elegant Gatsby Daisy biros are premium gold or chromium plated. They have a patterned centre band with a 4 leaf clover. They are turned, sealed and polished using a variety of woods and coloured acetate. They measure approximately 135 x 15 mm and take a Parker style refill. Each pen I make is unique due to the grain and type of wood used or coloured acetate. The pen is supplied in a black velvet style pouch with a certificate of manufacture. Please note that I will make to order if the pen you require is not listed. The pens I have available are shown in the photos, please order carefully. From the left are a chrome olive, a gold oak, a chrome white maple, a gold yew, a gold olive, a chrome turquoise acetate and a gold blue acetate. The oak is from an old church pew from Burgh by Sands church and is believed to be over 200 years old.

I love the fact that each item I turn is unique. Each piece of wood has different characteristics due to the grain and colour of the particular wood used. I especially like the Cumbrian Yew wood I have which can range from gold to brown and purple. Olive wood also has wonderful graining.
