Whitebeam Bowl with Carved Rim 627

Whitebeam Bowl with Carved Rim 627
£21.00
Love this

Description

Chunky and stylish bowl in English Whitebeam with a hand carved rim feature which adds to the beautiful grain on both the inside and outside of the piece. It measures 165mm in diameter and is 60mm tall, after being sanded smooth the bowl has been finished with beeswax to a high shine.

Inspiration

Whitebeam was traditionally used to make cogs for wooden mechanisms and this hardness makes it ideal for carving albeit a little time and effort was required to produce this very tactile bowl. I am very pleased with this first carved rim and this bowl would make a lovely gift for a new home, house warming or 5th anniversary.
