A lampshade made using original 1950s curtain fabric.

Frame: 30cm Diameter
Depth: 22cm
Ceiling or lampbase fitting

If you would like a particular depth please let us know, sometimes the fabric pattern dictates the depths and how much fabric we have !

FRAME FITTINGS:

The frame fits standard UK bayonet fittings, but if you remove the inner ring it can be adapted to fit the European fittings.

Please note: If it’s a re-used frame it would be a UK fitting only (we will state this)

THE IMPORTANT STUFF:

All the lampshades are backed with flame retardant backing, which has passed the glow wire test, that is carried out by the Lighting Association.

We would recommend using a low energy bulb with these shades. Using a max wattage of 60 watts.

This fabric is from a pair of curtains I discovered at the first lampshade stall we did last April. There were 2 pairs of curtains for sale. I bought the more sensible pair-less damaged fabric-before I'd sold any shades. As soon as I sold my first lampshade I rushed straight back to buy them before someone else did!
I love the colours, pattern and character of the material. It has faded, is delicate-so is tricky to work with, has some sewing holes from the curtain unpicking but it has lived!
