Item details

A leather coin purse decorated with a motif of a kitten on the front and a kitten surrounded by celtic knotwork hearts on the back.

It was made from veg tanned leather, hand stamped with the design before being dyed and sewn. A the motif was then picked out to emphasise the design. The edges have been bevelled and burnished and the whole thing given a top coat of creme wax to protect it.

I support one of the local cat rescue charities, several months ago they had a kitten born which required immediate surgery to save its life. Angel as she was called, thrived for several weeks but unfortunately succumbed to an infection she wasn't strong enough to fight off. I made this design as a way of saying how much she had been loved, and for all the other unwanted cats and kittens out there.
