An unframed A3 print of Maldon from the promenade. Maldon is a popular town on the Blackwater Estuary known as the base for a number of historic Thames Sailing Barges, which are shown. In the foreground Mute Swans dabble on the foreshore. St Mary's Church is a prominent landmark mark for everyone using the Estuary.
Promenade Park is a busy spot for visitors at any time. The River Blackwater with its wildlife, tides and boats, the park, pubs and cafes means that there is always things to see; sometimes even a seal. I painted this scene because of the many happy times my children and I spent in Maldon.
