Glamorous bracelet made using a traditional Japanese braiding called Kumihimo. This technique dates back to the era of the Samurai. The braids were used to lace together sections of armour. Here, beads are added into the braids to create unique tactile jewellery. Each bead is individually threaded on to each of eight braids (called warps) and incorporated into the braid one by one.
In this piece I have used different sizes of both Japanese and Czechoslovakian seed and pip beads in different shades of Green and Gold creating a lovely textured twirl finished with a bright Copper coloured toggle clasp. A slightly longer length of 22cm not including the ring of the toggle
