Fab bracelet made by using a traditional Japanese braiding called Kumihimo. This technique dates back to the era of the Samurai, it was used to create braids to lace together individual pieces of armour.
Here beads are added to create beautiful individual jewellery. Each bead is individually threaded on to each of eight threads (called warps) and incorporated into the braid one by one. This particular bracelet is made with Czechoslovakian dagger and pip beads along with tiny Japanese seed beads. I have finished it with silver coloured metal end caps and a twirling toggle style clasp. It is approximately 18cm in length not including toggle.
