This is a remake of my original smaller card.
When I first designed this card it was a way to use my beautiful, rare piece of ornamental type (typesetting is an impressive skill I’ve long been in awe of) using strips of paper left over from the sheets torn for my other cards. I was going to abandon it because it’s so difficult to achieve without failures. But I had such a lovely comment from a customer that I’ve reinstated as a full sized version of which I’ve printed only 30.
I designed it originally as a little message for Mr. R - In our early life together I used to sneak small ‘Love Tokens’ into his luggage when he had trips to make - like a small sprinkle of sea-glass, or sand from the beach, or paper-cuttings confetti left from things I’d been making... So when he unpacked or opened a book to read, my memento would cascade out. - I don’t see why we shouldn’t all give each other little love messages whenever we feel like it :)
