I worked solely from memory with regard to making this piece. My Grandma was obsessed with chrysanthemums and it is a tribute to her and all the women in my family who have instilled in me a love of nature. Although this isn't a 'copy' of a chrysanthemum, it conveys the movement of the densely packed petals and also the expressive quality of clay.
