I wanted to try my hand at repousse (hammered into relief from the reverse side) so this was an experiment using a wooden block and a hammer. After I cut out the heart shape I went mad with the hammer .This left a nice texture albeit a little bumpy and a very nice domed appearance. It needed planishing to smooth over the "bumps" but I wanted to retain the doming so used a large doming punch, secured into my vice, to smooth out the bumps with the planishing hammer. The bail was cut from a small piece of sterling, hammered to match the heart, shaped, filed and soldered in place in a way that allows movement which I love. Finally some filing to smooth down any sharp edges then into the polisher and hey presto ! the piece you see on my Folksy page.
