This is a Limited Edition giclée print of only 35 units of an original pen and ink drawing.
(Giclée just means that the inks used in the reproduction process are of the highest quality, lighfast, resistant to fading.)

It is printed onto 320 gsm German Hahnemuhle etching paper, which is of extremely high quality, also.

It measures 42 x 30 cms approx (or A3).

Each print will come numbered, titled and signed in pencil in the traditional manner beneath the image.

It will be sent in a protective cellophane sleeve and rolled in a cardboard tube for posting.

The postage time is within the next 7 days, since I have to order these from my printer and that is their turnaround time, though they are usually much quicker than that. I aim to post as soon as I get the print from them.

I was commissioned to do this illustration by Australian author, Kasia James, for a book on motherhood. The book is called "The Milk of Female Kindness, An Anthology of Honest Motherhood" and is available to buy on Amazon and CreateSpace.

The original title is "Madre Hay Una Sola" which is an expression in Spanish common in Chile, where I lived for over 9 years, and where my husband is from. It's hard to translate it properly into English, but it basically means that your mum is special and one of a kind.

This piece is based on myself and my 3 children, with little details that are actually true to them, such as the book the boy is holding on "Shark Facts." (My boys are big wildlife enthusiasts). It also reflects my love of all things vintage.

In the hopefully unlikely event of a return, postage must be covered by the buyer and the item returned to me in the same condition it was sent out in. I cannot be held responsible for loss or damage in transit, but will keep all proof of postage labels, so that if such were to occur, I can assist with making a claim.
