Last year I went out on the hunt for some beads and old necklaces in the charity shops of the West Midlands. I found a good haul and have been waiting to use them ever since. I have used a few finds in this piece including a beautiful green glass heart bead.

This brooch has been made using air drying clay and has then been painted with acrylic. I have added detail with silver and gold pens and have used non toxic varnish to give a nice sheen and to also protect it.

Each brooch comes in its own special box with natural sisal fibre packing.

Measurements: main circle- 4.5 cm in diameter approximately.

Postage and packaging costs are approximate. It will never be more than stated and if less, I will refund the difference.

I didn't know how this brooch would turn out. I started by cutting out the circle for the brooch and decided to add some holes using a clay tool. When the main shape was dry, I started to paint and ended up using some loops and a bead that I found on my travels.
