It's very hard to convey, in a photograph, the truly beautiful physical quality of the ink & it's colour on this gorgeously soft-to-touch paper
These photos are just not doing my cards justice so I'm going to retake them - this card is a gorgeous pure-blue! - The cello-bags, whilst great for protection, disguise the soft matt of the paper & the un-shiny sheen of the ink - The 1st photo is a more accurate representation.
Cards will vary slightly due to the nature of hand production making each card unique & original

This collection was inspired by a christmas card I designed, where the stars in the night-sky were, Orion’s belt (the three kings) pointing to where Sirrius, the birth star, will rise in the east.
If you look out from Mousehole Harbour on 23rd Dec (Tom Bawcock’s Eve) between 7pm & 9pm you will see that constellation configuration in the sky. Very fitting for a Cornish Xmas Card!
A Long Time Ago... Mousehole fisherman, Tom Bawcock, set sail in the least violent storm during a winter of gales which had prevented any fishing & the village was starving. He returned with a haul of pilchards & the fishing village celebrated with a Starry Gazey Pie (fish pie made from pilchard with their heads & sometimes tails poking up through the pastry lid). Mousehole celebrates every year on the evening of December 23rd & a huge Starry Gazey Pie is cooked & served in The Ship Inn.
I wanted my image of this Cornish Tale to be appropriate for any reason, all through the year...
