Hand-made solid hardwood museum quality picture frame in Maple.

The frame is hand-made by me in my own workshop in West London. I select hardwood as it is strong and elegant. I spend hours on each frame, sanding it and using a natural shellac sealer before applying 2 coats of beeswax. The finish is a lovely and smooth sheen.

This frame is built using only museum grade materials, to help protect your valuable picture. I use specialist UV glass and 'unbuffered' cotton museum mount boards; untreated, non-acidic, neutral ph so the board will not react with photographic paper.

The 2.5mm coated UV glass will prevent fading from exposure to light. The rebate of the frame has been sealed with an archival tape. I use an archival foam core board, finishing the back of the frame with a luxury, soft black velvet, strut back and brass fixings. (Stands vertical or horizontal.)

The frame is 8" x 6" with a window mount cut for a 6" x 4" picture.

The wood profile is 22mm x 22mm flat and square for a timeless look.

Mounts are available in White, Antique white or cream. Please state which you would like.

The wood I use is certified as 'FSC' and sourced from trusted sustainable suppliers.
