This Black card measures approx 10.5cm by 14.8cm and features a pink Flamingo mid-preen with one eye just subtly visible behind its feathers as they stand upright. The use of dark background adds nicely to the pink of the Flamingo adding nice contrast. The photographer Fiona Ruth is well known within the online photographic community and has also had her work exhibited in in Europe.

Fiona Ruth has been very fortunate to have spent considerable time working as a volunteer at her local zoo, Drusillas Zoo Park in Sussex. During her breaks she used to enjoy wandering about the zoo watching the animals and waiting for an interesting moment to record in time with her camera. It had taken a few visits to the Flamingos to observe their behaviour before bagging this shot.
