Two's company and three's a crowd! Briolette semi-precious amethysts are mounted on sterling silver wires in a dramatic minimalist style. Amethysts are valuable precious stones and are the February Birthstone. They hang from my own hand made sterling silver ear wires and were created and designed by me at my home in Sussex. They come beautifully presented in a gift box and measure 47 mm or 1 3/4" in length. These earrings have been given full UK hallmarks for sterling silver by the London Assay Office, including date letter and my own personal maker's mark.

I wanted to mix up the usual three stone arrangement that is found in jewellery everywhere and to created a bit of tension in a classic design. The way that I discovered was to separate one of the stones by placing it on a different head pin and securing the whole with wrapped loops of silver wire which created a visual separation between the pair of beads at the bottom and the solo amethyst above.
