This is a lovely piece of beech that i carved the surface using the lancelot cutter in the angle grinder. The grooves were then painted with black acrylic paint and the flat surface sanded back to its original state. It was then oiled using Osmo oil. Measures 275mm x 40mm

This piece of Beech was from a large tree that fell in a storm. I cut some large logs off it and cut them up with my chainsaw. Then the waiting, approximately 2 years for a piece this size, although its worth the wait when you get a piece of this quality. I like the satisfaction you get seeing a piece transformed from a log into the finished article rather than buying kiln dried pieces of wood.
