Say Hola to Frida! She's quirky, beautiful and hand crafted with amor, mucho amor from my Leeds studio.

Made from paper mache and decorated with lovely silk roses, woven moroccan beads, pom poms and african patterned fabric- she's certainly an exotic lady.

The handmade nature of this Frida means that you can see the paper mache creases through her artfully painted surface; adding to her unique look. No two dolls are the same.

This particular Frida measures 11.5cm at her widest width (at the bottom) and is 14cm tall.

She would make a fabulous gift for any Frida lover and looks great as a centre piece in your living room, or nestled in between other bright and colourful home pieces. She comes beautifully packaged and will bring a smile to any one who lays eyes on her!

I adore Frida and everything associated with her and her unique spirit. These dolls really sum up her vibrant character and her recurrent theme of her own self portrait. When asked, as she frequently was, why she painted herself so often, she replied
"porque estoy muy sola" (because I am all alone)....
and that's how these dolls stand- alone, but bursting with character!
