The cups are hand thrown in stoneware clay and finished in a satin white glaze. They hold well over 200 ml of wine
The ceramic cups are less rustic than the straight sided wine cups we make and are very inviting to hold. I am in danger of going over the top with this, but they are really tactile and you want to hold and cup them in your hand. I can confirm that they are great to drink out of and I will be making a few to take on our camping trips.
I also think they would work well for whisky and brandy. Just in case you haven't worked it out, I take my drink, and what I drink out of, very seriously. I have an intense dislike for the wine goblets of the 70's and am determined to produce ceramic vessels from which to drink alcohol that equal (at least) the qualities of glass. Phew! end of rant.
