My most recent conceptual collections 'OBJECT[IFICATION]' and 'Beautiful Demolition Series' consist of unique and diverse, hand manipulated slip-cast porcelain and bone china vessels.
This series of beautiful and contemporary porcelain vessels have been slip-cast and uniquely manipulated by hand. The edges have been glazed in layers to produce intensely contrasting glaze features.
Exhibited at Bovey Tracey, Contemporary Craft Festival, June 2015.

My work explores the tactile and aesthetic qualities of clay, using the material aspects of clay to deliver an idealised or non-idealised forms. The pieces consist of various experiments showing the effects that tobacco has on clay, specifically how they can be used to manipulate and transform porcelain. Promoting a dematerialisation of the object as a defining factor, while retaining a sense intrigue and physicality within the object.
