This archival print is one of an edition of 80 and is from an original ‘one-off’ wood, linocut and silkscreen print.
I like to mix printing techniques together in my work, so as well as using screen-printing, wood and lino printing, I also use hand-made stamps and combine all these printing methods together, gradually building up layers of shape, colour, texture and pattern.
This art work is one of three variations on the theme of taking a dog for a walk and this particular print is in shades of lighter green with a hint of yellow underneath and a darker grey green on top. Other details including the tree are a raw umber and black-brown in colour.
‘Walking through the leaves’ is printed onto a gorgeous high quality archival 315 gram paper with Epsom Ultrachrome inks.
The paper size is A3 (42cm x 30cm ) and the actual image size measures just under 33cm high x 25cm wide at its widest points. In the second photo I have displayed it in a frame similar to an Ikea “Virserum” frame 30cm x 40cm. This print should fit nicely into most standard A3 frames.
The print is sent unmounted and unframed but will be carefully wrapped in acid free tissue paper and rolled in a cardboard tube to to ensure it reaches you safely.
Just a final note, I have described the colours of the print as carefully as I can, but please bear in mind monitor colours do vary.
The original idea for this print was inspired by the many dog walkers I see wandering slowly through the trees in the Winter time at my local park.
