Encaustic Art is a 2000 year old art form that was originally used to create soul paintings to immortalise the dead. Examples of these images can be found in museums all over the world. Once framed behind glass it is hard-wearing and can retain its beauty over centuries, only really being damaged by excessive heat. Consequently please do not hang or display your purchase in direct sunlight.
All my encaustic wax cards are original and unique (not copies), they are initialled then sealed into a 6" x 8" tri-fold greetings card which could be used as a mount if you wish to frame them. Each card comes with an appropriate sized envelope and is supplied in a cello bag.
All purchases will be despatched in a reinforced envelope for protection.
This was made during a Wax Art Workshop at Arreton Barns on the Isle of Wight, I stamped the tree onto the paper then used a heated iron and a stylus to create the background and foreground foliage. .
