Handcrafted ceramic heart ornament to decorate your Christmas tree or to be used all year round for nature inspired displays.

Each ornament is unique, imprinted with various types of cypress.

After the first firing in the kiln, I brush colour into the foliage impression and glaze the piece all over with crackle glaze for antique effect. Then it is ready for the second firing.

The ceramic ornament is finished with a hemp cord and will arrive nestled on a bed of hay carefully packed in a gift box.

These ceramic ornaments were inspired by the Czech tradition of adorning the winter home with beautifully decorated gingerbreads. Some of the gingerbread cutters come from my grandmother's collection and others were sourced recently reflecting Scandinavian folk style such as the Dala Horse ornament. I have chosen to decorate these ornaments with plant impressions to reflect the beauty of my natural surroundings.
