A simple flower pendant made in Hill Tribe silver by the Karen people in northern Thailand. I was lucky enough to travel to SE Asia the last couple of years and purchased some gorgeous handmade pendants made by local artisans. The silver used is purer than sterling, at around 97-99% pure silver, so it is soft and can be stamped and carved beautifully.
This pendant is a lily flower measuring approx 29x12mm at its widest points. The silver is oxidised to show the detail of the textures. It is hung on an 18-inch fine curb chain in sterling silver.
The pendant will be wrapped in tissue inside an organza bag or gift pillow box and sent by first class recorded delivery.
I have a pair of lily flower earrings in my shop that match this pendant.
I love the artisan work of the tribes people in northern Thailand. The silver is almost pure, soft, and can be worked into beautiful designs, stamped and oxidised to show the patterns.
I have been fortunate to travel to Thailand the last few winters and while my travelling was purely for leisure, I couldn't resist buying a few pieces of handmade pendants, charms and beads. Most I kept for myself and made into personal jewellery pieces, but a couple are here in my shop.
