Description

Image size 20cm X 25cm
Mount size 25.5cm X 30.5cm

The Cyanotype process was developed in 1842 just after the invention of Photography. It was discovered by the English chemist Sir John Herschel. The Cyanotype works by mixing together two raw chemicals (Potassium Ferricyanide & Ferric Ammonium) and then exposing the image to a source of UV light.

This print is one of a kind. When thinking about where to display your image, I would suggest not in direct sunlight as it may cause the image to fade.

Inspiration

I was morris dancing at a Manor house in Adderbury and I saw these leaves on the floor. I was really interested in the different shapes and sizes they were in and thought they would lovely on a blue background.
