Appliquéd 100% cotton ethically sourced T-shirt.
The technique used to apply the design to the T-shirt is perfect for stretch fabrics. Traditional appliqué would create a puckered edge and holes which would eventually ladder. This technique uses two lines of connecting stitching that hold the design in place and stabilise it. It is permanent and washable and the tiny frayed edges which will appear, add to its charm.

I chose Gildan T-shirts because they have a high ethical rating. This company do not employ anyone under the age of 18, they do not make use of forced labour, they pay the legal minimum wage plus overtime and they provide a safe and heathy working environment for all their employees. This is important to me, I hope it is to you.

After more than ten years of hand-painting these jute bags I have decided to change my career and close my Folksy shop after Christmas. These are the last few bags that I have in stock and I am hoping that you will find something you like.

I have two nephews in Vancouver and I love making things for them. Their mum is always complaining that she cant find nice T-shirts that don't have company logos or TV characters on them so I started creating T-shirts with designs such as dinosaurs, stars, space ships and robots. Once I realised how much people liked them, I made lots more.

Each T-shirt is slightly different/unique depending the piece of fabric I choose to appliqué and I try to make it relevant and hope that the owner might notice the thought thats has gone into it.
