Oh my goodness, I wish I could have captured the true sparkle of this dainty black spinel necklace! The tiny faceted natural black gemstone beads truly have more sparkle than my favourite Swarovski crystals - even more than black diamonds!

The 2.5 mm faceted round black spinel beads are strung through a central 1.5 cm square sterling silver bead frame with silver bead embellishment. The necklace is finished with sterling silver jumprings and a sterling silver pearl clasp for security.

The length of this sparkly necklace is 47 cm (19 inches). It would make a gorgeous addition to any evening outfit or for special occasion.

The necklace will be gift boxed.

Delivery will be by Royal Mail first class signed for service.

I was in a jewellery supplies shop when I spied a string of semi precious beads twinkling away at me. I fell instantly in love with them! I found out that they were black spinel. I later discovered that spinel is not a well known gemstone, although famously there is a red spinel in the Crown Jewels.

I knew I had to do something with these gemstone beads, but didn't want to make a plain strung necklace, so I came up with the idea of strining them through a bead frame. This added interest without detracting from the stones.
