I made this pouch out of a recycled Harris Tweed scarf, and lined it with cotton taken from a Liberty shirt in floral blues, green, and yellows. It fastens with a plain blue zip and has a detachable light blue Petersham ribbon pull-tag. The Harris Tweed exterior is woven in many shades of pale to mid blue, and features threads of orange and pale yellow in the design.
You can use this pouch for loads of different things. I use mine to bring some sort of order to all the flotsam and jetsam that swills around in the bottom of my bag. Make-up, travel cards, credit cards, odd coins, lipsticks etc. The tweed is quite thick so it would give good protection for any gadgets such as iPods.
Because each of my pouches started as something else (a wool kilt, a tweed jacket, a cotton shirt) they come with a unique numbered card that shows what they used to be, and where they came from – a sort of pouch birth certificate.
All fabrics are thoroughly washed before being reconstructed, and this pouch is machine washable on a wool setting.
approx. 12 cm high by 15 cm wide (widening to 19cm at the base)

Handmade in Hammersmith Pouch no. 414
This was a beautiful Harris Tweed scarf that ended up in a charity shop (probably because it was rather itchy to wear). However, one person's itchy scarf is another person's five little useful pouches, so here they are, with new Liberty cotton linings and pretty Petersham ribbon zip-pulls.
