Welcome to my Folksy shop in which you will find a variety of hand-stitched accessories for you and your home, many of which make lovely (and easy-to-post) gifts. I stitch in a variety of styles, combining traditional embroidery with other textile techniques such as felting, weaving, hand dyeing and silk painting. Vintage linens and fabrics re-stitched into unique gifts and accessories may be found at my second Folksy shop 'LynwoodcraftsRecycled' where you will also find vintage sewing supplies including vintage lace.
An unusual Christmas brooch, hand-stitched as a miniature, cross stitch sampler, suspended from its brooch pin.
Christmas trees, tiny angels, geometric borders and 'Peace', all stitched in miniature on this tiny sampler. The sampler is suspended from the brooch pin, ( which remains visible and is an integral part of this design) by brightly coloured stitches, which also form part of the design. The sampler is stiffened by interfacing and the back is neatened with a felt panel.
Height (of embroidered panel) - 5.3 cm approx
Please note: items from Lynwoodcrafts are intended for adults. This item is unsuitable for children as it contains a sharp pin and small parts may represent a choking hazard to children under 36 months.
Items of embroidered jewellery may not be colourfast - care should be taken to remove them from clothing before washing.
Inspired by antique samplers, a love of all things miniature, and a coincidental charity shop find of fine counted thread fabric.
