Thank-you for looking at my pattern.
I took my inspiration from Princess Victoria, who as a child had a collection of 132 small dolls. She lived a lonely childhood at Kensington Palace before she inherited the British throne in 1837. She would make clothes and name the dolls after theatre characters & ladies from society.
The doll wears a tight bodice and full skirt which shapes out. This dress has a picot edge. The waist is pulled in which was the fashion at this time. A waist band is included. The doll comes with a detachable bonnet. Hair and face features can be coloured in with pencil or paint.
The peg doll can be knitted in a couple of hours. She fits beautifully into a small tin and looks quite at home in a child's doll house.
