This is a pretty GemstoneHematite Cube necklace with gold plated spacers and bead caps. Hematite is a heavy gemstone, so the necklace has some weight in the hand but the weight disperses well when worn around the neck. The hemative cubes are black in colour and enhanced either side with a decorative gold palted bead caps. The spacer bars in-between are also gold plate with a lovely twist to them and delicate line carving to give them texture. The necklace has a length of 18" and fastens with a lobster claw clasp into a 5cm extension chain. This means the necklace can be worn at a minimum length of 18" and a maximum length of approximately 20". The extension chain is finished with two small matching hematite beads.
If you require a shorter length of this necklace check out my shop section choker necklaces for a 16" length.
The necklace will arrive in a presentation box.
Hematite is found all over the world and comes in many colours but is most common in red and rainbow. When black Hematite occurs, it is known as specular hematite. Hematite is the iron ore found on the Planet Mars and is responsible for its red colour.
In ancient time, it was believed that Hematite found on battle grounds, was the blood of fallen soldiers
Hematite is believed to be a healing stone, reducing stress and strengthening the body.
