Waldorf inspired baby doll, comes with her detachable umbilical cord and cuddly placenta via a belly button style fabric covered popper!
No clamping or cutting of this baby's cord required!!

You can use this doll as a teaching tool to aid you as a birth worker / midwife/doula etc or for a fascinated child or for your own enjoyment :-)

Made from all natural materials carded sheepswool stuffing which is great for helping to regulate body temperature. Hand embroidered hair and sweet little baby face.

Feel free to request personalised skin, hair and facial feature colours. Happy to mix and combine different colours to create tones. For example the doll pictured has three different embroidery thread colours that make up her eyes.

Same with hair. I have a commission I am currently working on for a lotus baby with rainbow hair :-)

Comes in a large amniotic white sheer organza drawstring sac. :-)

Other accessories can be made for the doll, such as nappy and bonnet.

I am a mother of four and a passionate advocate for natural childbirth and Lotus Birth ~ where the mother, baby, placenta connection is respected and allowed time for the umbilical cord to dry and naturally fall away from the navel several days after birth. The placenta is embalmed with herbs and oils and wrapped up and tucked in with baby, ensuring comfort from the awareness that their first friend is there.

I launched the campaign to raise awareness for this practice which can be part of any birthing experience whether in a hospital or at home, caesarean or natural and especially beneficial to premature newborns as the placenta is bigger in relation to the baby's body so contains more blood volume which is intended for the baby.

You see, the umbilical cord is often cut prematurely at birth before the placenta has started, let alone stopped pulsing the blood that is transferred into the placenta at the time of birth to ease the delivery of the baby's body.
