Papercut art, Fyvie Castle, Scotland - FRAMED
From my own drawing, the castle is hand cut by me with a scalpel from black acid free paper, and mounted onto white 300gsm (140lb) traditional watercolour paper.
Within the frame, the surrounding picture mount displays my signature and the name of the piece.
SIZE (including frame):
Length: 34 cm
Height: 29 cm
Depth: 2 cm
The size of the papercut without the frame is 8" x 10"
I didn't make the frame myself, but selected one I thought went well with the paper cut. I will attach framing cord to the back for your convenience. This frame also has a leg at the back, giving the option to freestand the frame.
I'm happy to post internationally - please get in touch for a postage cost if you are outside the UK.
A little bit about the castle:
Fyvie Castle dates from the 13th Century, and has been owned through the years by the families Preston, Meldrum, Seton, Gordon, and Forbes-Leith respectively – each family famously adding a new tower to the castle. There is much folklore attached to the building’s 800-year-old history, and naturally, has its fair share of ghosts (one, specifically being attributed to the skeleton found behind a bedroom wall in 1920).
In the 1980’s, it became the property of the National Trust for Scotland, and is open to the public to enjoy the magnificent interiors and grounds.
