This stunning chest of drawers is now sold, however, I do have other vintage pieces in stock and available for commission. Please ask for further information.

A really sweet little chest of drawers with an oak top and delicate spindle legs.

This lovely little piece has been painted in Annie Sloan's gorgeous Olive with a textured effect, then white waxed to create a rustic feel. The drawer fronts have been decoupaged using a very pretty bird design which has added a simple country style elegance. An aged effect has been achieved by using a crackle glaze over the decoupage design, with dark wax to enhance the overall look. As I decided to leave the lovely oak top as it was, I felt a little white wax would enhance the grain, whilst adding a limed effect and a durable finish. Finally I returned the original handles back to the piece because their vintage glamour was the most appropriate finishing touch.

This stunning bespoke piece would look just amazing in a country inspired bedroom, or equally lovely in a study or hallway. What I feel would look really fabulous would be to mix its style with perhaps an industrial look to create a glamorous eclectic feel. Ultimately it would add it's rustic charm to any setting!

I really love to use decoupage within my pieces and felt this beautiful vintage piece deserved nothing less. The choice of design has added a stunning finish to the drawer fronts, which is exactly what I set out to do. As with most of my creations, I follow a process to achieve a specific style, which is why I consider my bespoke pieces to be little works of art in their own right.
