I made this pouch out of a recycled cotton needlecord skirt in a pale sand colour. It is lined with fabric taken from a vintage French sundress in red and cream circles. It fastens with a contrasting blue zip.
You can use this pouch for loads of different things and because of its size it would make an excellent pencil case or spectacles holder. I use mine to bring some sort of order to all the flotsam and jetsam that swills around in the bottom of my bag. Make-up, travel cards, odd coins, lipsticks etc. It will be good for ipods and other small bits of technology you may have.
Because each of my pouches started as something else (a wool kilt, a tweed jacket, a cotton shirt) they come with a unique numbered card that shows what they used to be, and where they came from – a sort of pouch birth certificate.
approx. 12 cm high by 23 cm wide with zip aperture 16 cm
(contents not included!)
All fabrics machine washed before being reconstructed, and this pouch is machine washable.
