My mosaic jewellery, hearts and birds are handmade in Cambridge, England by me - unusual, colourful and one of a kind. I hope you like them!
This mosaic bird has been made in shades of pink and royal blue with a purply iridescent outline. The outline is made from iridescent tiles so sparkle in the light. The wing is also outlined in shining tiles with blue and pink hand cut circles inside. The tail and head feathers are streaked pink of another shade. Two hammered copper coils come out of the head. It hangs from a waxed cotton cord.
The piece is mosaicked on one side, grouted on the front and sides and painted black with exterior paint on the back giving it a rustic look. It is made from frost resistant tiles and exterior adhesive, grout and tile base so is suitable for outdoors. In extreme cold or windy weather, it should be protected to ensure your continued enjoyment of it.
It would look equally nice in a conservatory or balcony! A great gift for a gardener or garden lover or would make an unusual housewarming gift.
This listing is for one mosaic bird garden ornament.
The bird is approximately 19cm wide x 15cm tall. Each of my little birdies varies slightly as I cut each by hand and mosaic them one at a time.
