'From Windswept Ireland', Bronze Wire Sculpture of a Windswept tree, on Mahogany plinth.

The tree and branches are individually hand crafted with fine bronze wire. Inspired by the West coast of Ireland and the defiance of these trees which are constantly battered by the winds. Bent but not broken.

All painstakingly, hand twisted wire, with branches built up gradually. The wire is then given a patina which is hand burnished to give definition and warm.

A tribute to the resilient windswept trees of the coast of Ireland.

After completing a degree in Fine & Applied Art, I started using wire as a continual line that enabled me to create a sculptural form of my drawings. My work centers on urban birds and windswept trees. Showcasing the beautiful resilience of nature.
