I hand craft individual 23" Rag Dolls. They are based on a vintage 1976 pattern.
I upcycle clothing, found or recycled fabric and trims to craft unique one off dolls. I am happy to incorporate any memorable fabrics into your new dolls wardrobe. This may include a child's once beloved outfit they have now outgrown or a favourite maternity dress that is too special to throw out. The doll shown is modelling a favourite baby gro, (now a cool t-shirt), a special party dress, and also a gown I loved whilst nursing, (now a new nightie). Your doll can wear items that are special to you, or alternatively I can create outfits out of my stash,
The dolls hair can also be personalised to suit your requirements and therefore make a perfect gift for any young girl.
Just message me and we can discuss how to tailor your doll.
Each and every doll is made to order and so I require up to 10 days to complete each doll.

Please note that these dolls are not intended for children under 3 years old.
Do not wash, but wipe clean (with baby wipes for example) only.

I love making and sewing. During the summer, looking after my two children, I found a vintage sewing pattern in a local charity shop and decided to give it a go. I really enjoyed creating a personality and wardrobe for our new doll especially out of items I'd hung onto from when my babies were little and other stashed away oddments. I thought other mum's might feel the same and have decided to test my idea for creating unique, heirloom rag dolls here on Folksy.
