This lovely woodpecker has been hand embroidered using quality DMC threads onto a backing of cream cotton. It's a beautiful bird (this one is based on the lesser spotted variety) and something I've only been fortunate enough to see once in my own garden.
The embroidery has been carefully 'laced' over a piece of stiff mountboard card so that it is ready for framing (see photo showing the reverse below). The frame is NOT included but the black framing mount for the front is. I've used my own frame in the photograph to show how the piece would look in a frame.
The embroidery and the framing mount both measure approximately 10 inches by 8 inches.
I design all my own work and so this really is a unique piece of textile art which has taken many hours of hand stitching. It would be a lovely addition to your own home decor or a lovely gift for a bird/nature lover.
