My son plays guitar and changes his guitar strings every couple of months and for quite a while we’d just throw away the strings he took off.
 
I’d always thought there must be some way of recycling these strings, creatively or otherwise and after some time, had a go making my first upcycled guitar string bangle.
 
After receiving compliments from friends and family and requests to make them one too, I wanted to be making more than just one bangle every couple of months so contacted a local music shop to see if I’d be able to have their used strings to make more bangles.  They were more than happy for me to do so as they may have otherwise gone into landfill so you’re also doing your bit for the environment when buying a bangle from me.
