This zipped pouch is made out of a recycled pure wool tweed jacket in a herringbone pattern of predominantly dark blues, with threads of green and red. I have lined it with a Liberty cotton shirt in blue, mauve, black, and sea green stripes.
You can use this pouch for loads of different things. I use mine to bring some sort of order to all the flotsam and jetsam that swills around in the bottom of my bag. Make-up, odd coins, cards and travel passes etc. The tweed is quite thick so it would be a good pouch to protect small technology such as earphones.
Because each of my pouches started as something else (a wool kilt, a tweed jacket, a cotton shirt) they come with a unique numbered card that shows what they used to be, and where they came from – a sort of pouch birth certificate.
All fabrics are thoroughly washed before being reconstructed, and this pouch is machine washable on a wool setting.
