British and Handmade. I love to see what lies inside the wood, come inside and see what I mean ?
Decorative hollow and open form turned from yew, with its base turned from walnut which contrasts beautifully with the yew grain and markings. The item is 210mm tall and 93mm in diameter at its widest point. After sanding it has been waxed to a high sheen, the inside surface has been finished with an ebonised lacquer.
This piece of yew came from a fallen tree on a Saffron Walden farm and illustrates the beauty of English yew with its cream and orange brown shades, sure to be noticed in any setting.
