This Necklace is made from Turquoise Blue and White Magnesite, Silver Tone Beading Wire and Antique Gold Jewellery Components.

The Magnesite are Center Drilled Flat Nuggets which graduate from approximately 15 x 12 mm to 25 mm and are approximately 2 mm to 5 mm thick.

The necklace drops to about 25 cm (10 in) MAX. The necklace weighs about 40 g/1.38 oz/0.086 lb.

-About Magnesite-

Magnesite has a hardness and texture similar to that of Turquoise and Marble. Typically white in colour, it also comes in yellow and gray in its natural form. Because of its porosity this stone can be enhanced through dyeing.

I made the chain out of Antique Gold Jump Ring (approximately 8 mm) which lets you adjust the necklace.

I have loved making these necklaces.

I had a few strands of the gemstone and started making necklaces, Bracelets and Earrings. I didn't want to hide the unique patterns within the Magnesite so I started to experiment with Beading wire to keep the stones flat and show off this stones lovely pattern.

Also the stones have a lovely texture, most of the stones are smooth and some are rough which gives unique and natural feel.
