I've crafted this ring from a 1948 Florin (two shilling) coin. This particular item is size U, but Florins in general can be made into rings from size P to W. I have created a patinated finish on this ring, where the whole item is allowed to oxidise so it goes dark in colour and then the detail is carefully polished so it stands out from the background. I can also supply it fully polished, shiny and bright if required.
Please message me with the size you would like - I will then make the item, add it to my Folksy site and let you know it's there for you to view.
The price shown is for the cupronickel version. Please message me if you would like a Sterling silver (.925) or 50% silver version, which would have different dates and designs and would be at additional cost.
British coins minted between 1920 and 1946 have a 50% silver content as opposed to coins minted prior to 1920, which had a 92.5% silver content (Sterling). Any coins minted after 1946 had no silver content at all.
As the coin has a nickel content which can sometimes cause skin irritation, I have applied a lacquer to help prevent any problems.
The item will be supplied in a small black card box and sent by 1st Class Royal Mail "signed-for" large letter post.
