Beautiful lapwing art print 'Lapwing Revival'. This lovely British birds art print features a striking lapwing and chicks in a field surrounded by wildflowers. Stunning rich, traditional colours make this bird art print ideal for a country home or as a bird lover gift or nature lover gift for someone special.

This nature print has been printed with giclee technique to give rich, light-fast colours and a velvety matte finish. You will be able to enjoy this fine art print for many years in your home.

Giclee square art print: 305mm x 305mm (approx. 12" x 12") printed size. Overall size 356mm x 356mm (approx 14" x 14") including an additional unprinted border all round to make framing or mounting easier.

8 x 8” and 16 x 16” print sizes are available, so please ask and I can add it here for you.
An 8" x 8" square print costs £42 plus £6 P&P and a 16" x 16" square print costs £85 plus £6 P&P. (16" print size pictured in frame)

Mounted prints are also available, with prices starting at £48 plus £6 P&P (for an 8" square sized print).

I can also provide framed prints with a choice of frames, with prices starting at £95 plus £8.50 P&P (for an 8" square print with mount and wooden frame). Please ask.

Printed with archival inks on acid-free matte archival paper (230gsm)

Print will be sent unframed, unmounted and rolled in a tube. Printed to order. Usually posted within 7-14 days.

I'm taking a little break from my Folksy store but I'm still about busy arting, blogging and creating if you'd like to see what I'm up to or get in touch ~ Lotti :)

Living out in the flat fields of East Yorkshire, lapwings are one of my favourite birds.

I grew up in Lincolnshire where there were hundreds of lapwings when I was a child. These days we just have a few nesting in the fields nearby.

Always a treat to hear the 'pee-wit' call and see them tumbling in the sky. And they are such an unusual bird when you actually get to see them close up - quite beautiful.

I created this artwork to celebrate the fact that this year the lapwings have successfully nested in the fields and raised their young. They nest on the ground, so are often disturbed by ploughing. I do hope that their successes this year are the start of a lapwing revival here!

Hand-drawn birds and flowers, with a hand-painted ink background. All put together digitally to create the final piece.

I think this one has a nice vintage or historic feel - great for a traditional home or a country style :)
